We opted for another free walking tour in order to get our bearings in Budapest, and I have to say, I thought it was one of the best.  Our guide was really good and we saw a lot of the sights.  The city is beautiful and we decided to give ourselves a little of a photo challenge – trading cameras for the day!  My camera has really awesome zoom capabilities, but Justin’s takes much better wide shots and has virtually no zoom.  We bought them because we knew they would complement each other, but it was a quite different experience to trade off!

Here are some of my favorites that Justin took:

So there you have it.  We don’t usually mention who the photographer was or which camera was used.  It’s probably fair to say that the majority of the photos you see on this blog are mine (I carry my camera almost everywhere, while Justin just takes his out for special occasions), but even with that being said we’ll often hand the camera off to each other.  So it’s pretty cooperative.  Oh, and as usual, click any of these to see the gallery (sorted chronologically, not by photographer).

If you’re interested, my camera is a Panasonic FZ35 and I LOVE it.  Justin’s is a Panasonic LX3 and he LOVES it.  His is a little more compact, but mine is the one that gets all the wildlife and zoom shots.

Beyond that I just have to say that Budapest has an incredible feel to it.  Such a wonderful place to be.  I don’t even know what it is about it, but there’s tons of history, tons of beautiful buildings and a great vibe.  Stay tuned for the darker side.
